What is Endodontics
Endodontics is a special branch of dentistry that deals with problems inside the tooth, specifically the dental pulp—the soft tissue made up of nerves and blood vessels. When this tissue gets infected or inflamed due to deep cavities, repeated dental work, or injury, it can cause severe pain and lead to serious dental issues. Instead of removing the tooth, endodontists focus on saving it through treatments like root canals.
A root canal might sound scary, but it’s actually a routine procedure that helps relieve pain and preserve your natural tooth. During the process, the infected pulp is removed, the inside of the tooth is cleaned, and then it’s sealed to prevent future infection. Thanks to modern technology, root canal treatments are now quicker, safer, and much more comfortable than they used to be.
Our popular procedures
- Root Canal Treatment – Removes infected pulp, cleans, and seals the tooth to prevent reinfection.
- Endodontic Retreatment – Corrects issues in a previously treated root canal to save the tooth.
- Apicoectomy (Root-End Surgery) – Removes infected tissue at the tip of the root when a root canal isn’t enough.
- Pulpotomy – A partial pulp removal procedure, mainly performed on children’s teeth.
- Internal Bleaching – Whitens discolored teeth after a root canal procedure.
- Cracked Tooth Treatment – Prevents further damage and restores the function of a cracked tooth.
- Management of Dental Trauma – Treats injuries like knocked-out or fractured teeth to preserve them.

Explore the world of Endodontics
Endodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry focused on diagnosing and treating dental pulp diseases. It plays a crucial role in saving natural teeth and relieving pain caused by deep infections or injuries.
One of the most common endodontic procedures is root canal treatment, which removes infected pulp, cleans the root canals, and seals the tooth to prevent reinfection. If a previous root canal fails, endodontic retreatment is performed to correct any issues.
For persistent infections, an apicoectomy (root-end surgery) may be required to remove infected tissue at the root tip. Pulpotomy, mainly for children, involves partial pulp removal to preserve the tooth.
Endodontics also includes internal bleaching, a technique used to whiten discolored teeth after root canal treatment. Cracked tooth treatment helps prevent fractures from worsening and restores normal function.
